Not Hyundai Creta or Mahindra Scorpio or Maruti Brezza, but a Tata is India’s fav SUV. Not Nexon
Regrettably, the Tata Nexon did not secure a spot among the top five best-selling SUVs in India during the initial six months of financial year 2025.
Tata Motors remains the top player in the SUV segment with its entry-level model, the Tata Punch, despite facing competition from Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India, and Mahindra & Mahindra.
The SUV that dominated sales in the fiscal year 2025 (April-September) was the Tata Punch with an impressive figure of 101,820 units sold. Trailing behind closely were the Hyundai Creta with 96,416 units, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza with 93,659 units, the Mahindra Scorpio with 81,293 units, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx with 73,841 units.
Surprisingly, the Tata Nexon didn’t make it to the top five best-selling SUVs in the first half of FY25, falling slightly behind the Maruti Suzuki Fronx with 72,350 units sold.
