Amaran box office Day 11: Sivakarthikeyan’s film eyes Rs 250 crore globally
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran grossed Rs 200 crore globally in just 10 days, marking a significant. The film had a phenomenal second weekend at the box office in India and raked in over Rs 30 crore nett in India.

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s recent outing, Amaran, recorded a phenomenal second weekend in theatres in India. In just two days, the biographical film earned over Rs 30 crore nett at the domestic . In 10 days, the film entered the Rs 200-crore club and is still performing exceptionally well across the globe. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan who died in the line of duty in Kashmir in 2014.
Amaran had a fantastic Sunday, November 10, and earned nearly Rs 16 crore nett in India. Domestically, Amaran entered the Rs 150-crore club in 11 days, marking its significant success.
The film will continue to have a strong hold in theatres until November 13. On November 14, Suriya’s Kanguva will hit theatres and the makers announced that the film will release on over 10,500 screens worldwide, potentially affecting Amaran’s earnings.

The biographical war film is an adaptation of the book series, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A chapter in one of the three books details a mission carried out by Major Mukund Varadarajan.
Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film features Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Geetha Kailasam, Umair Ibn Lateef and several others as part of the cast.
