BJP holds protests against Arvind Kejriwal, alleges misuse of taxpayers’ money in ‘Sheeshmahal’
Protests were organized by BJP members and supporters throughout the city, claiming that AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal misused public funds for his own luxury while serving as the Chief Minister of Delhi. They accused Kejriwal of spending millions on extravagant items and modern amenities at his designated residence on 6 Flagstaff Road.
Earlier this month, Kejriwal relinquished the Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines upon stepping down as the Delhi Chief Minister.
Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi BJP president, claimed during a demonstration close to Kejriwal’s present abode on Firozshah Road that 15 lavatory seats, which were mounted at the “Sheeshmahal” (Flagstaff Road bungalow) at a significant cost, have mysteriously disappeared.
Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of misusing taxpayers’ money by purchasing toilet seats amounting to Rs 12 lakhs and claimed that fifteen of these expensive seats were stolen during the protest.
The matter has not elicited any response from the AAP. Previously, Chief Minister Atishi mentioned that the BJP might assume control of the Flagstaff Road residence, but she affirmed her dedication to serving the people of Delhi, even if it meant working from the roadside.
