Meghan Markle’s Sister Accuses Duchess of ‘Verbal Attack’ After…

Samantha, Meghan’s half-sister, filed a defamation lawsuit in 2022, accusing Meghan of making verbal false and hurtful remarks during her Oprah interview and the ‘Harry & Meghan’ Netflix series.
Samantha’s lawsuit argues that Meghan portrayed her as “a stranger, a liar, and a… deceptive fame-seeking imposter with avaricious intentions,” which Samantha says has damaged her reputation.
Meghan Markle’s sister ‘was never was part of any hate group’
Samantha Markle’s lawyer, Peter Ticktin, strongly argued that Meghan Markle’s documentary attacked Samantha, causing significant harm. Ticktin stated, “There can be no doubt that Meghan Markle attacked her sister Samantha Markle in her documentary,” emphasizing the severity of the backlash Samantha endured. According to Ticktin, the fallout from Meghan’s documentary led to extreme consequences for Samantha, particularly because of her disability and the online abuse she received from the Sussexes’ supporters. Samantha, who uses a wheelchair, reportedly faced an onslaught of threats that forced her to relocate for her safety.
Ticktin outlined the emotional toll this abuse took on Samantha, quoting her response: “You are making people want to kill me. It’s not just a tabloid. It’s not just some story. You are making me scared.” The statement highlighted the depth of the fear Samantha experienced due to the widespread harassment following the documentary’s release.
Samantha has repeatedly denied engaging in offensive behavior or encouraging any harm toward Meghan. She has also rejected claims that she was involved in spreading disinformation or participating in any online campaigns against Meghan. In her defense, she asserts that she never used hate speech, including racially offensive terms, and insists she did not profit from any harmful online content aimed at Meghan. The ongoing legal battle centers around whether Meghan’s comments were defamatory and whether they caused legitimate damage to Samantha’s reputation and safety.
