After an award was presented to Samantha by Vicky Kaushal, she delivered a heartfelt speech detailing her return following a hiatus caused by poor health. Upon concluding her speech, Rana lightened the mood by teasing, “Samantha transitioned from Tollywood to Hollywood. She went from being my sister-in-law to simply being my sister,” which elicited laughter from her.
He observed that she has been less involved in Telugu cinema lately. In response, she expressed her preference, stating, “If I commit to a project, it should have the essence of Narasimha Naidu, not like Rana Naidu.” Nevertheless, Rana seemed inclined to engage in a playful exchange as he retorted, “That’s not true cinema, my dear, it’s a spectacle. Teja Sajja co-hosted the show with Rana, reminiscing about their childhood when he mentioned how he used to refer to her as Samantha Ruthless Prabhu. What is the relationship between Rana and Samantha?
Samantha, unfamiliar to some, was in a marital relationship with Naga Chaitanya from 2017 until 2021, following a period of intermittent dating prior. Naga Chaitanya, who is related to Rana on the Daggubati family’s side, is currently betrothed to Sobhita Dhulipala.
Nagarjuna, the father of Chaitanya, was previously married to Rana’s aunt, Lakshmi Daggubati, from 1984 to 1990. Later on, he tied the knot with Amala. Samantha and Rana collaborated in the 2016 Tamil movie Bangalore Naatkal, a remake of Bangalore Days, marking their only on-screen appearance together.
