WhatsApp launches Message Drafts to save unfinished chat conversations.
A new ‘Message Drafts’ feature on WhatsApp will save users’ partially written messages and move them up in priority
WhatsApp has introduced a new Message Drafts feature that lets users start messages and automatically saves them for later sending.
The Meta-owned messaging service will now save the partially completed messages and mark them with a bright green ‘Draft’ indicator. The app will also move them up the chat list, serving as a helpful reminder to complete the text and send it, if needed.
WhatsApp previously saved some partially drafted chat messages, but this feature worked inconsistently, and users couldn’t be sure whether the text would remain when they returned to the chat session. Some users chose to compose longer messages in their Notes app or other locations and then copy and paste them when ready to send.
Message Drafts will now clearly display the status of an incomplete message and ensure it appears near the top of the chat session, just below any pinned chats.
This feature is available to users globally, across both iOS and Android.
WhatsApp also recently introduced Custom Lists to better organise contacts into several groups.
